Business Law II

Business Law II is an interesting class. I like it because the case's in the book our actual case's with real decisions. This class helps me to learn what practices are acceptable or unacceptable in business. This will definitely help me in real life because I plan to own my own business when I am done with college. I like when I can take information Ive learned and be able to apply it to real life it make the experience worth while.

Psychology

Psychology is a class that I do not necessarily need for my degree. I thought that I would not like the class, but it is actually pretty cool. I learn a number of different things that can be applied directly to real life. For example tools that help me get through to my children which any parent needs. Or how to reinforce good behavior, and how to go about discipline which is always tough, but it has to be done.

How to Learn

Ive learned that FLCC has many resources available to there students. The academic support center on the Geneva campus is great. They offer tutors at no cost to there students, and Stephine Olsen is always there to help. Stephine has been through a lot of courses which allow her to help students in a number of different areas. The academic support center also has what we call the write place which is available for students to get there papers reviewed with a little constructive criticism.

Some Of The Weeks Lessons

I try to learn something new every day as cliche as that sounds. This week in school I learned a little something about myself. I was all worked up about this accounting test I was due to take Wednesday because it's not my strong subject. I studied for the test all last weekend as well as Tuesday because that's my day off and i was still worried about taking the test. Low and behold i received a 91% on the test. So what i learned was to believe in myself and I will make it a lot further in class, at home, and in life in general.

FLCC Where I Started

When I complete my associates degree at FLCC I plan to get my Bachelors in business. Over the last week I have learned that FLcc will help me to find the right place for me to continue my degree. There have been represenatives available form other schools that i can talk with and recieve information from about there respective programs. This is a big help to me do to the fact that I have two children and time is very important to me. I can Attend class and then have a meet and greet with other college's all in the same place.

Something About School

Hey has anyone ever thought "I want to go to school but I dont know if i can"? Well I am here to say if you put your mind to it you can do any thing. I felt the same way almost three years ago when I was getting started at Fingerlakes Community College. I was 23 with two children and I thought it would be impossible. Then I realized I needed to do this for my self and my children. Now i am set to graduate in May upon completion of this semester.
